Guess Who Lost Her Very First Tooth Today!!!

Gracie lost her very first tooth today!  We are very excited but also sad that our little girl is growing up!  The tooth has been loose for a week and we told Gracie to be careful wiggling it so that she wouldn't accidently lose it when the time finally came for it to fall out.  This afternoon she was coloring at the kitchen table and wiggling her tooth with her tongue when it popped out.  She couldn't believe it.  She ran into the living room, jumping up and down and saying "Mama, my tooth fell out!!!"  We rinsed with salt water, called Daddy, shined up the tooth and after careful inspection wrapped it in tissue.

We explained to Gracie that the Tooth Fairy will be visiting tonight and will leave money behind and take her tooth.  Gracie then told us that she DOES NOT want the tooth fairy to take her tooth!  She said that she would rather keep her tooth then have money.  GREAT, now what do we do???  We asked Grace to write a note to the tooth fairy asking her if she could keep her tooth. We explained that maybe the Tooth Fairy will leave it since it is so shiny and healthy.

The tooth that fell out was her very first baby tooth.  Bottom ~ Left.  She got the tooth on October 14, 2003.  I remember the day very well because she crawled over to me, pulled herself up to a stand and bit me on the arm.  I felt the tooth before I saw it.

Feeding the Hungry and Homeless

Thank's to the Johnson's and Estrella Mountain Church, we had an awesome opportunity this weekend to participate in feeding the homeless and hungry.  Last night we went to Scot and Jami's and helped prepare 200+ ham and turkey sandwiches.  This morning Gracie was able to go with Scot, Jami and Kyra to help hand them out.  WOW.  I asked Grace tonight how she felt about the experience, she said "they were hungry, so we helped feed them."

Green Eggs and Ham

The Ranchers celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by making these great Cat in the Hat hats and eating Green Eggs and Ham.  When I asked Gracie how she liked the Green Eggs and Ham she said, "Mom, they were pretty darn good!"  Spoken like a true Rancher.

Trevor's 3rd Birthday

Trevor had a Scooby Doo birthday today to celebrate his 3rd birthday.  Scooby Doo is a family favorite, and the kids had an awesome time.  Scooby Doo made an appearance and the kids loved making their own pizzas, playing in the Mystery Machine and eating out of doggy bowls. Thank you Jami and Scot for the memorable day!  Happy 3rd Birthday Big Trevor!

Happy Easter

We couldn't resist taking the kids down to the lake for a few photos.

No, we did not style Nate's hair to look like this, it was VERY windy.

Hip Hop Hooray!!!  The Easter Bunny came!!!  The kids found their baskets and after inspecting what the Easter Bunny left for them, "SuperNate" and Gracie ran outside to find eggs.

Easter Eggs

We dyed Easter Eggs today, Gracie really enjoyed it.  She had a special crayon that she and her Daddy used to draw pictures on the eggs.  They wrote our names and drew pictures of mermaids, tractors, horses, etc.

Nathan liked it too, but not as much as he enjoyed consuming large amounts of vanilla ice cream!

Horton Hears a Who

The movie was fun... but I think that the kids REALLY loved the popcorn, candy and spending the day at the show with friends.

China Doll Girl

Donnie and I brought this dress back to Gracie from our 10th Anniversary trip to San Francisco last summer.  Gracie wore it today and everywhere we went she told people that she was a China Doll Girl.

Painting

The four of us have been feeling a little under the weather for the past few days. We decided to make ourselves feel better by painting.  It worked!  The kids had fun and felt better too!

Grace painted a birdhouse ~ she used her favorite colors pink, purple and red.  Daddy is going to hang it in a tree this weekend.

Nathan painted too!  And as you can see, he was quite pleased with himself and his work.

Gracie's Godfather, Uncle Jimmy gave Gracie her very own pink camera for her 5th birthday. Here are a few of her favorite shots taken with her birthday camera.  The camera brings out her vey silly goofy side.  Thank you Uncle Jimmy, she loves it!!!
